Baked Brie with Fruit Spread
Recipe by Dena Fenza. This Baked Brie is bursting with flavor, and also one of the easiest appetizers to serve. Perfect for a crowd, this dish will be gone in seconds. Best of all, you can easily prepare this recipe in advance, and then bake it when you are ready to eat! This will turn out delicious with any flavor of Bionaturae Fruit Spread, which are all 100% organic and made with no added sugar.
- Ingredients
- 1 wheel of brie (8 oz)
- ½ cup Bionaturae Apricot Fruit Spread
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup pistachios, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon brandy (optional)
- 1 pear, small dice
- Plain crackers or crostini for dipping
- Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a bowl, add Apricot Fruit Spread, brown sugar, pistachios, rosemary, a pinch of salt, and brandy. Mix and set aside.
- Next, remove a thin layer off the top of the brie, keeping the sides intact.
- Place the brie in an oven-safe pan. (Preferably a small ceramic dish with a cover)
- Top the brie with a generous layer of the apricot mixture.
- Then top with the pears and another layer of the apricot mixture.
- Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Serves immediately with crackers or bread.
- Depending on your serving container, the brie should stay nice and gooey for 15 minutes. If you need to reheat, simply return to the oven for a few minutes.
